What data we keep

Only what you type in: accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, and any preferences you set (language, currency, whether you share expenses with someone). BaseCero doesn’t require sign-up or any personal data to work.

Where it lives

On your device, in a local database (OPFS, the browser’s private file system). There’s no server: nothing syncs or gets uploaded anywhere.

What leaves your device

Nothing, unless you deliberately export it. BaseCero has no telemetry, no analytics and uses no cookies: nobody’s watching.

Like any website, the host (Vercel) keeps standard access logs (IP, user agent) when serving files. BaseCero never receives, reads or uses any of it.

Backups

You can export a plain .xlsx or a password-encrypted .bce copy (AES-256-GCM). Encrypted backups only decrypt inside BaseCero, with your password; if you forget it there’s no way to recover it — it isn’t stored anywhere.

How to delete your data

Uninstall the app, or clear the site’s data from your browser’s settings (in Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site data). Either one also removes the local database.
